Day-by-day experience & highlights

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing & City Exploration

  • Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport, where our representative will assist with your hotel transfer. After check-in, start your journey with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the world’s largest public squares. Explore the Forbidden City, the former imperial palace with stunning ancient architecture. Later, take a rickshaw ride through the Hutongs, Beijing’s traditional alleyways, to experience local culture. End the day with an optional Peking Duck dinner.

Day 2: The Great Wall of China & Summer Palace

  • After breakfast, head to the world-famous Great Wall of China (Mutianyu or Badaling section), where you can enjoy a cable car ride and breathtaking panoramic views. Return to Beijing and visit the Summer Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its serene gardens, temples, and the beautiful Kunming Lake. Enjoy a relaxing traditional Chinese tea ceremony before heading back to your hotel.

Day 3: Temple of Heaven & High-Speed Bullet Train to Xi’an

  • Start the day with a visit to the Temple of Heaven, an architectural masterpiece where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Later, board a high-speed bullet train to Xi’an, traveling at 350 km/h and offering scenic countryside views. Upon arrival in Xi’an, check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening exploring the lively Muslim Quarter, famous for its street food and vibrant culture.

Day 4: Terracotta Warriors & Ancient Xi’an City Wall

  • Today, visit the Terracotta Warriors, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. Explore this UNESCO-listed site, home to thousands of life-sized warrior statues built to protect Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife. Later, visit the Ancient Xi’an City Wall, one of the best-preserved city walls in China, where you can enjoy a cycling experience along the historic fortifications.

Day 5: Flight to Shanghai & The Bund Night Tour

  • After breakfast, take a short domestic flight to Shanghai, China’s modern metropolis. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and visit The Bund, Shanghai’s iconic waterfront area with stunning colonial-era architecture. In the evening, enjoy a Huangpu River Night Cruise, offering spectacular views of the illuminated skyline, including the Shanghai Tower and Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

Day 6: Shanghai City Tour & Shopping at Nanjing Road

  • Start your day at Yu Garden, a classic Chinese garden with beautiful pavilions, bridges, and ponds. Visit Jade Buddha Temple, one of Shanghai’s most famous spiritual sites. Later, experience the ultra-modern Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest skyscraper, offering 360-degree city views. Conclude your day shopping at Nanjing Road, China’s most famous shopping street, where you can buy luxury brands or souvenirs.

Day 7: Departure from Shanghai

  • On your final day, enjoy some leisure time before transferring to Shanghai Pudong International Airport for your onward journey. If time permits, visit Xintiandi, a stylish district filled with modern cafes, boutique stores, and historic architecture.
